Meet Becky Sanford who was inspired by her grandmother's love of handwork and has been quilting for almost 20 years, currently residing in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. She has participated in numerous quilt-alongs, bees, and swaps, always looking for unique patterns, techniques and fabrics. Years ago, she made a Mariner’s Compass block that was Foundation Paper Pieced (FPP) and was truly amazed at the almost perfection that could be achieved with little skill. She knew she could never have pieced it so accurately using traditional methods. From there she started buying and making whatever FPP patterns from various designers she could find. She was hooked!

The first Legit Kits quilt Becky remembers seeing was Land of the Free, and she knew she had to make it. A seasoned paper piecer, she had never quite seen anything like this. The block construction methods were revolutionary, and the results stunning! She eventually became a pattern tester for them. When she was given the opportunity to become a Legit Kits certified instructor, she jumped at the chance. From learning in her grandmother’s basement to today she looks forward to carrying on this quilting legacy and meeting and interacting with other quilters along the way.

Let’s work together to make a Legit Kits masterpiece!
