Meet Mary Ellen, who lives in the greater Kansas City area but is always excited about a new travel adventure. She became interested in quilting in the ‘80’s. She took several classes but life got in the way and she was unable to continue her quilting journey. When her son went to college, Mary Ellen took a class at a local quilt store and it was “Teach a Man to Fish.” She was gone and quilted all the time. Then in 2021 Mary Ellen found Legit Kits. She became a pattern tester and as of January, 2026, has made over 37 Legit Kits. She loves the art and the end result. She loves Legit and loves all of it so much that she became a Legit Kits Certified Instructor in the fall of 2025.

These are beautiful quilts that require a unique set of skills that she is excited to teach. If your group or guild is interested in a trunk show or workshop please contact her.
