BJ the Blue Jay Digital Download

BJ the Blue Jay is a premium design with everything a foundation paper piece quilter could want.  Designed with rich blues and lush greens, this quilt top kit will make a fabulous wall hanging art piece, baby quilt, or surround this design with complimentary fabric to create a stunning full sized quilt top.  

This top finishes to 30" x 40"

BJ was named after a bird that followed a friend in her back yard.  Flitting from tree to tree while she walked, BJ called out to her and would occasionally land on my friends hand.

This digital download color maps, fabric lists, an assembly guide, and the full pattern which can be printed on standard 8.5 by 11 inch or A4 foundation paper.

This is a digital download for a quilt top only.  The digital download is to be used one time only by the original purchaser.  Knowledge of foundation paper piecing is required to assemble this work of art (the basics of this technique can be learned in a short amount of time by watching instructional videos on YouTube or the like).

Due to the large size of our digital products, this download comes as a ".zip" file.  Once opened, you will see several pdf files which all pertain to the pattern.  It is recommended to open these files on a computer, or use a smart phone app designed to open zip files.

Printing the pattern at full size will result in a quilt top measuring 30 inches wide by 40 inches long.   If you reduce the size of the pattern by printing it at 80% the resulting quilt top will measure 48 inches wide by 64 inches long.  Reducing the pattern much further is not recommended because seam allowances will shrink and pieces will become very small and difficult to sew.
